TermDefinition
ancestor n. A person from whom one is descended- An early kind of animal from which later ones have developed; a forerunner.
carnivore n. A flesh-eating animal.
comprehend v. To understand.
duration n. The time during which something lasts or continues.
evident adj. Easy to see and understand; obvious, clear.
extinct adj. No longer existing or living; No longer active.
ferocious adj. Savage; fierce.
gigantic adj. Very large; like a giant in size.
obscure v. To cover up of keep from being seen- adj. Hard to see; hidden- Not easy to understand.
option n. A choice, or something that is available as a choice.
premature adj. Too early; happening or arriving before the proper time.
preserve v. To save; to keep keep from harm; to protect- To keep from rotting or spoiling.
prey n. An animal that is hunted for food- One that is helpless or unable to resist an attack; a victim- v. To hunt(animals)for food- to take from or rob using violence or trickery.
puny adj. Weak- Lacking in size, strength, or power.
survive v. To stay alive where there is a chance of dying or being killed- To continue living or existing through a threatening situation.
