### Common Factors and Number Tricks/Patterns

How do you find out if a number is a multiple of 2? If the number ends in a even number. ex: 226
How do you find out if a number is a multiple of 3? If the sum of all of the numbers is a multiple of 3. ex: 18 1+8=9/3=3
How do you find out if a number is a multiple of 4? If the last two numbers are a multiple of 4. ex: 564
How do you find out if a number is a multiple of 5? If the number ends in 5 or 0. ex: 65
How do you find out if a number is a multiple of 6? If a number is is a multiple of 2 and 3. ex:6
How do you find out if a number is a multiple of 7? You work it out on your own. (no trick)
How do you find out if a number is a multiple of 8? If the last three numbers are a multiple of 8. ex: 1800
How do you find out if a number is a multiple of 9? If the sum of the numbers are a multiple of 9. ex: 27
How do you find out if a number is a multiple of 10? If the number ends in zero. ex: 30
