Poetry/Novel Terms - match terms with definitions

| personification | giving non-human things human abilities or characteristics |
| cliché | a saying that is over-used and becomes boring |
| rhyme | words that sound the same except for a letter or two; used in poetry often |
| repetition | the same word said twice or more within a short space of text |
| pun | a word or phrase that has a double meaning |
| irony | the opposite of what you expect to happen |
| hyperbole | exaggerating - making something bigger, better, faster etc. than it really is |
