Transformation

Transformation that flips; is congruent; figures are facing the opposite direction Reflection
When reflecting over the x-axis The x stays the same and the y changes to its opposite
When reflecting over the y-axis The y stays the same and the x changes to its opposite
Pre image can reflect Over the x or y axis
When reflecting the pre-image and image will be Congruent
The image will have Prime Marks
When looking in the mirror The left looks like the rigtt and the right looks like the left
y = x The x and the y change places (y,x)
y = -x The x and the y change places (-y, -x)
When reflecting over the x and y The distance is the same
When reflecting the figures should Face the opposite direction
