QuestionAnswer
Plot series of related events that make up a story or drama
Exposition type of writing that explains, gives information, defines, or clarifies an idea
Conflict struggle or clash between opposing characters or opposing forces
Climax moment of great emotional intensity of suspense in a plot
Foreshadowing the of clues to hint at events that will occur later in a plot
Flash-forward a scene in a movie, play, short story, novel, or narrative poem that interrupts the present action of the plot to shift into the future
Flashback scene in a movie, play, short story, novel, or narrative poem that interrupts the present action of the plot to flash backward and tells what happened at an earlier time
Resolution when we learn the outcome of the conflict
Dynamic Character someone who changes as a result of the story's events
Rising Action events leading to the climax
Static Character one who doesn't change much in the course of a story
Falling Action leads to the resolution
Chronological Order going in a sequence
Flat Character someone who has only one or two traits
Round Character someone who has many different character traits
Protagonist main character
Antagonist the opposing character
