Significant Figures/Digits Rules 1. All non-zero digits are considered significant. 2. Zeros appearing anywhere between two non-zero digits are significant. 3. Leading zeros are NOT significant. 4. Trailing(or Precision) zeros after a decimal point are significant.
Significant Figures/Digits Math Rules 1. For Addition and Subtraction, only report as far as the number with fewest decimal places. 2. For Multiplication and Division, only report the number of significant figures as the number with the least number of significant figures.
Precision Measure of how close to each other a series of measurements are.
Accuracy Measure of how close the experimental measurement is to the actual value.

Describe the difference between Accuracy and Precision. Precision is how close to each other your measurements are. Accuracy is how close to the actual value you are.
