Accuracy | The precision of the data |
Atom | The smallest unit of an element that maintains the properties of that element. |
Chemical Property | A property relating of a substance's ability to undergo changes that transform it into different substances. |
Chemical Reaction | A change in which one or more substances are converted into different substances. |
Chemistry | The study of the composition, structure, and properties of matter and the changes it undergoes. |
Compound | A substance that is made from the atoms of two or more elements that are chemically bonded. |
Density | The amount of matter in a certain amount of volume. The more matter in the same volume, the higher the density. |
Element | A pure substance made up only of one kind of atom. |
Gas | State of matter that has neither a definite volume nor a definite shape. |
Liquid | State of matter that has a definite volume but an indefinite shape. |
Mass | The measure of matter in an object. |
Matter | Anything that has mass and takes up space. |
Physical Property | A characteristic that can be observed or measured without changing the identity of the substance. |
Precision | The exactness of the data in an experiment. |
Product | A substance that is formed by a chemical change. |
Qualitative | Data that can be portrayed with descriptions and characteristics. |
Quantitative | Data that can be portrayed as numbers. |
Reactant | A substance that reacts in a chemical change. |
Solid | State of matter that has a definite volume and a definite shape. |
Volume | The amount of three-dimensional space an object takes up. |
