conflict a struggle or clash between opposing characters or opposing forces
climax the most emotional or suspensful moment in the story
falling action the actions that follow the climax
resolution when the character's problems are solved and the story ends
man vs. supernatural a conflict that takes place between a man and a fantastical object/character
man vs. nature a conflict that takes place between a man and wildlife
man vs. man a conflict that takes place between two men
