safety rules

#1 conduct yourself in a responsible manner at all times.
#2 follow all written and verbal instructions carefully. If you don't understand something ask the instructor. Unauthorized experiments are not permitted.
#3 No student is allowed in the lab without an instructor.
#4 When first entering the science room don't touch anything until you're told to do so.
#5 don't eat, drink, or chew gum in the lab area. Never use lab equipment as a container for food or drink.
#6 Never fool around in the laboratory.
#7 Keep work areas clean and tidy at all times. Bring only your labs, pencils, calculators, and license into the lab area.
#8 Know the locations and operating procedures of all safety equipment. Also know where the fire alarm and the exits are located.
#9 Work in a well ventilated area. Use the fume hood when working with poisonous vapors. Never place your head in the fume hood.
#10 Notify the instructor of any accidents or injuries immediately.
