U2L2: Real Number System

TermDefinition
Rational number any number that can be written as a fraction, a terminating decimal, or a repeating decimal
Irrational number any number that is not rational
Real numbers any rational or irrational number
Integer any whole number that can be positive or negative
Natural Number any whole number greater than 0 that can be used for counting
Inequality A mathematical sentence built from expressions using one or more of the symbols <, >, ≤, or ≥.
Equation A mathematical sentence built from expressions using one or more equal signs (=)
