| Personifacation | A figure of speech treating a non human as if they are human |
| Onomatepaya | A figure of speech when the sound of a word imitates the sound it is making (e.g) drip drip, tic tok |
| Rhyme | When the final words sound the same |
| Conflict | Dissagreement or tension between characters in a story or between different ideas or within a characters own mind. |
| Climax | The big moment in the story when all the important things happen |
| Resoulution | The last part of the story when the loose ends are all tied up |
| Plot | The story line what actually happens in the story |
| Characters | The person in the story/ animals can sometimes be characters too |

| Themes | The main ideas or messages in a story or poem (e.g) revenge, courage, friendship |
