| Term | Definition |

| Point | A point indicates position; it has no length, width, or depth. A point is named by a single capital letter. |
| Line | A line is a set of continuous points that extend indefinitely in either direction. A line is identified by naming points on the line and drawing a line over the letters. |
| Plane | Set of points that forms a flat surface; has no depth; extends indefinitely in all directions. |
| Line Segment | Part of a line consisting of two points called endpoints, and set of all points between them. |
| Ray | A part of a line consisting of a given point, called end points. And set of all points on one side of the end point. |
| Opposite Rays | Rays that have the same end point and that form a line. |
| Angle | Union of two rays having the same end point. End point is called vertex of the angle. Rays are called sides of the angle. |
