| Term | Definition |

| Magnitude | The numeric value of a vector. Tells size or amount. |
| Frame of Reference | A coordinate system for specifying the precise location of objects in space. |
| Acceleration | The rate of change of velocity. Change in velocity over time. |
| Velocity | A vector quantity specifying the speed and direction of movement of an object. Change in displacement over time. |
| Displacement | The change in position of an object. |
| Distance | A scalar quantity specifying the total amount traveled. |
| Speed | A scalar quantity specifying the magnitude of velocity. Change in distance over time. |
| Free Fall | The motion of an object falling with constant acceleration. An object that is only subject to the force of gravity. |
| Gravity | The mutual force of attraction between two objects. |
| Kinematics | The study of motion of objects. |
