Definitions of terms for Module 10

| Access Copyright | Rights to who has access to the author/creator's work |
| Copyright | A property right in which the author/creator decides how their property may be used |
| Intellectual Property | Non-physical objects that has a copyright |
| Royalty | A percentage of revenue from sale of intellectual property which is given to the author/creator |
| Trademarks | Differentiates goods or services of a person or company from others |
| Public Domain | Work that is free of charge, belongs to the public, and does not need permission from the author/creator to use |
| Moral Rights | Personal rights of an author/creator that cannot be assigned unless waived by the author/creator |
| Performing rights | Rights to perform music publically |
| Plagiarism | The use of another person's thoughts, ideas, and/or work with giving any credit to original author |
| Fair Dealing | A limitation to the exclusive right given my the copyright law to the author |
| Patent | Protection of new "inventions" |
| Blanket License | The rights to play many songs, as many times and as often as they want with a single license |
