Lewis Structure | A representation of a molecule or poly-atomic ion showing how valence electrons are arranged among the atoms in the molecule or ion |

Mass Number | The total number of protons and neutrons in the nucleus of an atom. |
Mixture | A substance with variable composition. |
Molar Mass | The mass in grams of one mole of a compound. |

Orbital | The three dimensional region in which there is a high probability of finding an electron in an atom. |
Oxyacid | An acid in which the acidic proton is attached to an oxygen ion. |
Percent Yield | The actual yield of a product as a percentage of the theoretical yield. |
Photon | A particle of electromagnetic radiation. |
Resonance | A condition occurring when more than one valid Lewis structure can be written for a particular molecule. |
Saturated Solution | A solution that contains as much solute as can be dissolved at that temperature. |
Noble Gas | A gas with a full outer energy level. (valence electrons) |
