A few Terms of college words
| Term | Definition |

| undergraduate | A student at a college or university who has not yet earned a bachelor's or equivalent degree. |
| graduate student | a student who continues studies after graduation. |
| alumni | A graduate or former student. |
| admission | A statement acknowledging the truth of something. |
| bachelor’s degree | an academic degree conferred on someone who has successfully completed undergraduate studies. |
| associate’s degree | a degree granted by a two-year college on successful completion of the undergraduates course of studies. |
| ACT | originally abbreviation of American College Testing |
| SAT | The SAT Reasoning Test (Scholastic Aptitude Test and Scholastic Assessment Test) |
| transcript | A written or printed version of material originally presented in another medium. |
| financial aid | money to support a worthy person or cause. |
| major | Important, serious, or significant |
| minor | Lesser in importance, seriousness, or significance. |
| credits | The ability to obtain goods or services before payment |
| public college | A public university is a university that is predominantly funded by public means through a national or subnational government |
| private college | Private schools, also known as independent schools, are not administered by local, state or national governments |
