| Unendurable | cannot be tolerated, or can’t stand something. |
| Instantaneous | done instantly, at the same time |
| Deliverance | rescued from something |
| Unconsciously | done without awareness or consciousness |
| Fretful | filled with worry or anxiety |
| Deliberately | done with intension, on purpose |
| Rigid | stiff, not flexible |
| Immobilized | not able to move |
| Grotesquely | odd or unnatural in appearance…especially in an ugly way |
| Randomly | not using a pattern or logic to pick or arrange |
| Obsolete | no longer used |
| Outlawed | against the law |
| Amusement | to feel entertained |
| Permeated | flooded, infused |
| Cruelty | intentionally being mean, overly harsh |
| Crouched | bent down low |
| Exaggerated | made to seem better, worse, larger or more important than is true |
| Dejected | very unhappy, especially because of disappointment |
| Anguish | extreme anxiety, emotional torment |
| Devastated | severely damaged, enormous upset |
| Astonished | very surprised |
| Sympathetically | feeling of compassion, pity or in deep agreement with another’s pain |
| Syringe | an instrument used for giving shots |
| Puzzled | mystified, baffled, uncertain |
| Panicked | overpowering fear or anxiety |
| Empathetically | understanding of another’s feelings |
| Rueful | regretful, done with pity |
| Inconvenient | not accomplished with ease, not convenient |
| Condemned | a judgment that results in being sentenced to a punishment |
| Fugitives | someone who runs away from (or flees) justice, an enemy or a bad situation |
| Subtle | slight, not obvious, understated |
| Perils | exposure to risk |
| Exquisite | very beautiful, fine, delicate or intricate |
| Obscured | barely perceptible, not obvious |
| Agonizing | to suffer extremely pain, or distress |
| Lethargy | abnormal drowsiness, state of being lazy, sluggish or indifferent |
