Zeugma One word modifies two or more. "I just blew my nose, three fases, and a circuit braker."
Antithesis Certain contrast in words. "To be or not to be."
Parallel Structure The same format of words in several lines in a row. (Used a lot in persuation.)
Feigned Fake
Condescending Talking Down, insulting.
Anaphora Repetition of words. (Used a lot in persuation.)
Partial Judgemental, bias.
Pervious Penetratable
Opaque Cannot see well, blurry.
Impudence Shamelessness
Inevitable Unavoidable
Impecility Weakness, silliness.
Impetuous Impulsive
Oxymoron Humor in describing things. "A gadget, dingus, thingumbob."
Epithet Phase applied to a person or thing to describe an actual quality. "Richard the Lion-Hearted."
Synecdoche A part is used for the whole or the whole for a part. "Ten sail for ten ships or a Croesus for a rich man."
Assonance Rhyme in which the same vowel sounds are used with different consonants. "Penitent and reticence."
Alliteration Repetition of the initial sound.
Mantras Something repeated over and over again like habits or morals.
Bourgeois Conventional
Pedagogy Art of science of teaching.
Soliloquy Talking to oneself. (Used a lot in plays.)
Didacticism Instructive
Hyperbole Exaggeration "To wait an eternity."
