What are the three main parts a narrative should include? an introduction, a main body, and a closing
What is a transition? They signal the end of one event and the beginning of the next and help the listener follow the sequence of events
Name three kinds of transitions? Pauses, when clauses, and time signs indicating a period of time
What is a when clause? Have two parts: when clause is always at the beginning and includes raised eyebrows and a head tilt, and second part of the sentence, head and brows go back to neutral position
Name three types of when clauses? Age, event, or year
What does the non-manual behavior “cs” mean in relation to time? shortly afterwards
What does the non-manual behavior “mm” mean in relation to time? a while later
