QuestionAnswer
Exponent The number in a power that tells how many times the base is used as a factor
Base of power The number that is used as a factor when evaluting powers.
square root The square root of a number n is a number that when multiplied by itself equals the number n.
prime factorization whole number written as the product of prime factors
order of operations A set of rules that states the order in which operations should be done
equation A statement that two expressions are equal. An equation always has a equal sign
variable A letter or symbol that represents a number.
inverse operation opposite or reverse operations that undo each other. Addition and subtraction are inverse operatons.multiplication and division are inverse operations
expression A combination of one or more numbers ,variables,or numbers and variables with one or more operation.
evaluate To substitute a value for a letter and then calculate to simplify the expression
inequality A statement that two expressions are not equal.
input what goes into something .
output what comes out of somthing.
