Discussion Vocabulary lists

TermDefinition
curriculum The courses that are offered by a college or university.
TA Teaching assistant; an assistant to a college professor who helps teach a course or corrects papers and exams.
prerequisite Something that you officially must have or do before you can have or do something else
sophomore A student in the second year of high school or college.
liberal arts College courses such as history, language, and literature that are intended to give you general knowledge.
coed Coeducational; open to both men and women
ace To earn a high grade (an A) on an examination
flunk To fail, or get a failing grade in an examination or course
prioritize To organize things so that the most important thing is done first
plagiarize To use the words or ideas of another person as if they were your own words or ideas
