| Abdicate | To give up or renounce (authority, duties, an office, etc.), especially in a voluntary, public, or formal manner |
| Abrogate | To put aside; put an end to |
| Beneficiary | A person or group that receives benefits, profits, or advantages |
| Biennial | Something or event that is happening every two years |
| Caucus | Any group or meeting organized to further a special interest or cause |
| Choleric | Extremely irritable or easily angered |
| Citation | Any award or commendation, and the act of citing or quoting a reference to an authority or a precedent |
| Decorous | In keeping with good taste and propriety; polite and restrained |
| Deflect | Cause (something) to change direction by interposing something; turn aside from a straight course |
| Efficacious | Successful in producing a desired or intended result; effective |
| Egress | The action of going out of or leaving a place |
| Fabricate | Invent or concoct (something), typically with deceitful intent |
| Gamut | The complete range or scope of something |
| Hauteur | Haughtiness of manner; disdainful pride. |
| Idiosyncrasy | A mode of behavior or way of thought peculiar to an individual |
| Immutable | Unchanging over time or unable to be changed |
| Lyrical | Expressing the writer's emotions in an imaginative and beautiful way (of literature, art, or music) |

| Opprobrious | Expressing disgraceful; shameful emotions |
| Parody | An imitation of the style of a particular writer, artist, or genre with deliberate exaggeration for comic effect |
