| Ad nauseam | an argument which has been continuing "to [the point of] nausea" |
| Ad valorem | According to the worth |
| Alter ego | Another aspect of one's self or a second self |
| Bonafide | made or done in good faith |
| De jure | denoting something or someone that is rightfully such |
| Emeritus | Having retired but allowed to retain their title as an honor |
| Ex officio | By virtue of one's position or status |
| Habeas corpus | a writ requiring a person under arrest to be brought before a judge or into court, esp. to secure the person's release unless lawful grounds are shown for their detention (noun) |
| Ipso facto | by that very fact |
| Meum et tuum | mine and thine: used to express rights to property. |
| Mudus operandi | a particular way or method of doing something, esp. one that is characteristic or well-established |
