experiment

TermDefinition
weight is a measure of the pull of gravity on an object
mass is the amount of matter in a object
measurement describes a quantity such as time,length,distance,mass,volume,or temperature
experiment is a test or trial that produces evidence you can use to help answer a question/hypothesis.
data collected information,the resudes numbers(with units)measured during an experiment/investigtion.
quantitative data data that includes numbers(with units) measured during an experiment.
qualitative data data that includes descrption of things you observe.
hypothesis is an idea that can be test by an experiment.
dependent variable the factor(thing)that is being measured or observed in an experiment.
independent variable is the one factor(thing)that is changed during an experiment.
control variable variable that stays the same during an experment.
