System of Equations two or more equations with the the same variables
Consistent Has one solution
Inconsistent No solutions
Independent exactly one solution
Dependent Infinitely many solutions
Substitution Method One equation is solved for one variable in terms for another.
Elimination Method eliminating one of the variables by adding or subtracting the equations
System of Inequalities two inequalities with similar variables
Constraints Inequalities that represent limitations
Feasible Region The intersection of the graphs
Bounded when the graphed region forms a polygonal region
Vertices The maximum or minimum values of a graph
Linear Programming The process of finding the maximum or minimum of a function
Octants when space is divided into eight regions
ordered triple a point in space represented by three values or dimensions
