| Consistent | A system of equations that has at least one solution |
| Inconsistent | A system of equations that has no solutions |
| Independent | A system of equations that has exactly one solution |
| Dependent | A consistent system of equations that has an infinite number of solutions |
| Substitution Method | A method of solving a system of equations in which one equation is solved for one variable in terms of the other. |
| System of Inequalities | A set of inequalities with the same variables. |
| Substitution Method | A method of solving a system of equations in which one equation is solved for one variable in terms of the other |
| Elimination Method | Eliminate one of the variables in a system of equations by adding or subtracting the equations |
