| Comparison | Identifies similarities and differences between two or more thing |
| Conclusion | A decision based on careful consideration of facts and observations. |
| Contrast | Comparing two or more things in order to point out the differences between them. |
| Details | May include facts, observations, and descriptions. Anthing that tells more about the topic. |
| Biography | The story of a person's life according to another pesrson who writes it. |
| caption | Explains or describes an image, photo, or illustration. |
| Cause and Effect | Something that makes something else happen. What happens as a result of the cause. |
| Classification | The activity of grouping things according to traits that are similar in some way. |
| Analogy | A comparison between two basically different things that have some points in common. |
