Dernæst beregnes pH ved af bruge formlen der passer til den såkaldte syrestyrke. pH=-log([H3O]) eller pOH=-log([OH-])- pH=14-POH
Hvad er en syre? en base er et molekyle eller en ion, som kan afgive en hydron.

Hvad er autohydronolyse? ved autohydronolyse reagere et stof med sig selv og danner syre og base, f.eks. H2O der danner H3O+ og OH- når den blandes med sig selv, derfor er H2O en amfolyt.
Hvad er ækvivalenspunktet på en titrerkurve? det er stedet for hvor en syre og en base neutralisere hinanden, altså hvor pH-værdien bliver 7.
Hvad er vands ionprodukt? Vands ionprodukt kan beskrives således: Kv=[H3O+]*[OH-].
Hvad er styrkekonstanten og hvordan beregnes den? Ks og Kb: styrken defineres ud fra dens mulighed til at kunne reagere med vand. Ks=([B]*[H3O+])/[S]. Kb=([S]*[OH-])/[B]
Hvordan defineres styrkeeksponenten PKs=-log(Ks) - bruges til at beregne syrens styrke PKb=-log(Kb) - bruges til at beregne basens styrke
