Vocabulary Lesson 11 - Requests and Demands

QuestionAnswer
Beseech To request earnestly; to implore or beg. Aid: Starts with the letters "BE" as does the word BEg.
Cajole To urge with gentle, repeated appeals, teasing or flattery.
Elicit To bring out or call forth.
Enjoin To direct or order with authority. To prohibit or forbid.
Exigency Require much effort or immediate action. An urgent crisis or situation.
Imperious Arrogantly bossy; domineering; overbearing.
Injunction A command, a directive, or an order.
Mendicant To beg; a beggar.
Query A question; an inquiry.
Servile Behaving like a slave. A servant.
