Addition& Subtraction of Whole Numbers

QuestionAnswer
addend any number used to get a sum (the numbers you add together)
sum answer to an addition problem
difference answer to a subtraction problem
inverse operations two operations that undo each other, ex: addition & subtraction
identity property of addition sum of any numer and zero is that number
commutative property of addition numbers can be added in any order and the sum remains the same
associative property of addition addends can be regrouped (added in any order) and the sum remains the same
