| common factor | A number that is a factor of two or more numbers. |
| composite number | A number greater than 1 that has 2 or more whole-number factors. |
| factor | A number that is multiplied by another number to get the product. |
| greatest common factor | The largest common factor of two or more given numbers. |
| integers | the set of whole numbers and their opposites. |
| least common multiple | The least number, other than zero, that is the multiple of two or more given numbers. |
| multiple | The product of any number and ant non-zero whole number is a multiple of that number. |
| negative integer | a number below zero. |
| opposites | Two numbers that are an equal distance from zero on an numberline. |
