why is defarge depressed and how does madame defarge comfort him? he is sad b/c he doesnt think he will be alive 2 c the end of the revolution. she is trying to rouse him up to make him feel better. that everythings going all right
what is the significance of madame defarge pinning a rose in her hair? its a sighn that everyone has to leave because there is something going on and john basard came in
what does the spy learn from the defarges and what do they learn from him? he learns that they know him and that everyone around them is poor . The defarges learn that miss mannette is getting to monsor the marquis' nephew Charles darnay. frenchman by birth
why does this informatin disturb the defarges? because they are trying to kill family members of the marquis
what are the doctors' feeling about lucies impending marriage? he is really excited for her and he is very happy about it
what does Charels darnay tell the doctor on the morning of his marriage to lucie that he is the marquis of france
what two things does mr. lorry do in reaction to the doctors condition? he is wants his friend to snap out of his state and so he tries to get him to remember by making him go on walks with him, and he was in shock when he saw the doctor
what is the doctors response to the combination of this information and the giving of his daughter in marriage? "take her charles. she is yours." he is shocked
