What are 4 types of physical properties? 1. melting point 2. boiling point 3. density 4. color
What is melting point? The temperature at which a solid can change to a liquid.
What is boiling point The temperature at which a liquid boils.
What is density? Density is a property that describes the relationship between the mass of a material and its volume.
What does color show? Color can be used to help identify a substance
What are chemical properties? Chemical properties can be recognized when substances react or do not react chemically with one another……when they undergo a change in composition.
What is the ability to burn? The ability of a substance to burn is a chemical property that involves a substance reacting quickly with oxygen to produce heat and light.
What is the ability to rust? The substance of a substance to rust is a chemical property that involves a substance reacting slowly with oxygen.
What is an example of temperature change? when wood burns to ash and gases, the temperature increases.
