Unit 2 Math Cards

What does the Associative Property imply? It shows that when doing a problem, grouping doesn't matter.
Define the Commutative Property. It is a property that shows that order doesn't matter.
What is the Distributive property? The Distributive property allows you to divide a large number in smaller numbers to do the problem easier.
Identity Property, what does it do? The Identity property is the way you get your constant to stay the same.
Term Any math term that includes number signs.
What are like terms? Any 2 terms containing the same variable.
Variable term, what is it? Any sentence that contains a variable.
Numeric Term, how do you define it? Any term composed of just numbers.
What is a constant? A constant is the number that stays the same.
What is an open sentence? A math sentence that still has open space for an answer.
Inequality, what is it? A problem in which two numbers are compared.
