### practice recognizing & using commutative, associative, & distributive properties

Associative Property When adding and multiplying, you can move the parentheses to regroup the terms without changing the sum or product.
Commutative Property When adding or multiplying, changing the order of the addends or factors does not change the sum or product.
Distributive Property The product of a number and a sum is the same as adding the products when you multiply the number by each addend.
Identity Property of Multiplication When a number is multiplied by one the result is the number itself.
