Nouns & Pronouns

Diff. types of nouns and pronouns. (first 8 are pronouns, the rest are nouns)

QuestionAnswer
Demonstrative Pronouns Point out a specific person, place, thing or idea.
Personal Pronoun Refer to the person speaking, being spoken to, or spoken about.
Possessive Pronouns Show ownership or possession.
Interrogative Pronouns Begin a question.
Relative Pronouns Connect adjective or noun clauses to the rest of the sentence.
Reflexive Pronouns Refer to a subject. (Who, and or what the sentence is about.)
Intensive Pronouns Emphasize a noun or another pronoun in the sentence. (Unnecessary to the meaning of the sentence.)
Indefinite Pronouns Express an amount, or refer to an unspecified person or thing.
Common Nouns The word used for a class of person, place or thing.
Proper Nouns The name of a person, place or thing.
Collective Nouns The word used for a group of people or things.
Compound Nouns Noun made up of two or more words.
Abstract Nouns Refer to something a person cannot physically interact with.
Concrete Nouns Refer to objects and substances, including people and animals, that exist physically. (You can recognize/experience them through your 5 senses.)
