QuestionAnswer
Editorial An article that gives the opinions of the publishers; an expression of opinion.
Extended Metaphor A comparison of two unlike things in various ways throught a paragraph, a stanza, or a literary work.
Foil-(As a character) A minor character whose contract with a main character highlights particuler characteristics, often flaws,of the main character.
Hyperbole A figure of speech that uses exaggeration to express strong emotion, to make a point, or evoke humer.
Irony A contrast or discrepancy between appearance and reality.
Lyric A peom that expresses a speaker's personal thoughts and feeling, usually short and musical.
Parable A simple story pointing to a moral or religious lesson.
Rhetorical questions A query to which no answer is expected or the answer is obvious.
Static character a character who remains basically the same throughtout the story.
Subgenre A category or literary composition characterized by a particular style, form, or content.
