Real Numbers

exponent "in a power, the number of times the base is used as a factor"
integer a whole number or its opposite

ratio the comparison of two numbers that can be written in various ways

scientific notation a way of expressing numbers as the product of a number that is at least 1 but less than 10 and a power of 10
square root one of the two equal factors of a number. “What number multiplied by itself gives me this number?”
