| point | a location in space |
| line | a geometric figure made up of infinetely man;y points, it extends endlessly in two directions |
| ray | a part of a line: it has one endpoint |
| plane | a flat surface: it has no thickness; it extends endlessly all directions |
| congruent line segments | line segments that have the same length |
| midpoint | the point that divides a line segment into tow congruent parts |
| bisector | a line that intersects a line segment at its midpoint |
| collinear points | points on the same line |
| theorem | a statement that can be proved |
