QuestionAnswer
Product of Powers Keep the base and add the exponent.
Quotient of Powers Keep the base and subtract the exponents.
Power of Powers Keep the base and multiply the exponents.
Negative Exponents You turn it into a fraction by putting 1 on top and by putting the base with a positive exponent on the bottom.
Zero Exponent Anything to the zero power=1
Scientific Notation One number in front of decimal; must be the base times the power of ten.
Base In a power, the number that is the common factor. 5*5*5 <----- Multiply the base by itself.
Exponent The number of times you multiply the base by itself
Repeating Decimal 0.333333333333333333333333 Decimal form of an rational number
Terminating Decimal .5680000000 A repeating decimal where the repeating number is 0.
