The Black Death/plague was a turning point for who? The peasantry/serfs. After the Black Death, there was a heavy exploitation of the peasantry in Eastern Europe, NOT western Europe.
Hereditary subjugation The idea that peasants were bound to their lords from 1 generation to the next, as wellas, to the land.
