Plot   The sequence of events ina story,tells what happens, when and to whom, four stages; exposition, complication, climax, and resolution

Complication   Story events that move the plot along by adding complications or expanding the conflict.

Climax   Turning point,highest point of the readers interest and emotional intensity.

Resolution   Sometimes called the falling action,occurs after the climax, conflict is usually resolved at this time, loose ends are tied.

Conflict   Struggle between opposing forces in a story external: character pitted against an outside force such as nature, a physical obstacle or another character. Internal: Occurs within the character.

Protagonist   Central character or hero in a narrative drama; usually the one with whom the audience tends to identify.

Antagonist   Usually the principal character in opposition to the protagonist; can be other that a character-force of nature, aspect of society, internal force with the protagonist,
