Tablespoon   three teaspoons  
Cup   8 ounces, 16 tablespoons  
Pint   2 cups  
Quart   2 pints, 4 cups  
Gallon   4 quarts, 8 pints, 16 cups  
Dry ingredients   use plastic cup, level  
Wet Ingredients   use glass cup, get at eye level, put on hard surface  
Solid ingredients   use plastic cup, pack to eliminate air bubbles  
Brown sugar   pack into dry measuring cup  
Sift   eliminates lumps, adds air to ingredients  
Heaping   one that's above the top of the measuring cup or spoon
