vitamin K | a vitamin found in foods such as green vegetables with a lot of leaves, liver, vegetable oils, and egg yolk, important for healthy blood |
insulin | a hormone in the body that controls the amount of sugar in the blood |
production of foods | the process of making or growing goods to be sold |
fungi | any of various types of organisms that get their food from decaying material or other living things |
penicillin | a type of antibiotic (= a medicine that kills bacteria) |
antibiotic | a medicine or chemical that can destroy harmful bacteria in the body or limit their growth |
beneficial | helpful, useful, or good |
