What are the primary colors? Blue, Yellow, Red
What is hue? It refers to the color itself.
What are the secondary colors? Green, orange, violet
What are the tertiary colors? Red orange, Red violet, Blue violet,Blue green, Yellow green, yellow orange
What is a saturated color? Colors that don't have white or black in them
What three groups make up the color wheel? Primary, Secondary and Tertiary colors
What is a tint? A hue that is mixed with a pure white color.
What is a shade? A hue that is mixed with a pure black color.
What three colors are considered to be warm color? yellow, orange and red
What three colors are considered to be cool color? Blue, green and violet
What are the five neutral colors? black, grey, white, tan, brown
What are the six types of color schemes? monochromatic, analogous, complimentary, triadic, split complimentary, neutral
What is a monochromatic scheme? When tints and shades are only one color.
What is an analogous color scheme? When three or more colors are next to each other in the color wheel are used.
What is a complimentary color scheme? When two colors that are directly across from each other in the color wheel are used.
What is a triadic color scheme? When three colors that are located from each other in equal distances are used.
What is a split complimentary scheme? When any color and the two colors located next to that color compliment
What is a neutral color scheme? When any combination of blacks,greys, whites, browns and tans are used.
What is a tone? A hue that is mixed with a gray color.
What is the complement of orange? Blue
What is the complement of red? Green
What is the complement of yellow? Violet
