*What is the HEADRIGHT SYSTEM for well to do settlers? This was the promise of LAND (50 acres) to each HEAD (person) that came to the colony.

What was the name of the Colonial Legislature ( Representatin from the Colony)? The House of Burgesses
What were causes of the Labor Shortage in Jamestown? Not enough settlers to work the land, indentured servants.
What was Bacon's Rebellion? Western frontier mad because Gov of Virginia refused to raise Troops to defend against the Indians. Nathaniel Bacon raised a Private Army to fight & take the Indians Land. Gov Berkeley labeled Bacon a Rebel, sent Troops to stop him.
What was Bacon's Rebellion, continued? The troops & Bacon turned against Jamestown?
