Antibiotic substance that is used to kill or stop the growth of bacteria in the body
Anticholinergic substance that inhibits hypersecretion and G.I. motility
Anticoagulant substance to stops blood clotting (blood thinner)
Anticonvulsant substance that stops brain nerve firing to suppress convulsive seizures
Antidepressant substance that helps maintain proper hormone balance levels to decrease depressive moods
Antidiarrheal relieves and decreases G.I. activity that produces diarrea
Antimetic relieves nausea and vomiting
Antifungal substance that kills fungus growing in or on the body
Antihistamine substance that stops the effects of histamine release that causes sneezing, watery eyes, and congestion
Anti-hypertensive substances that lower BP
Anti-inflammatory substances that reduce or relieve inflammation
Antineoplastic substances that are used to kill cancer cells
Antipyretic substance that relieves and lowers high fever
Antispasmotic relieves stomach muscle spasms

Antiviral drugs that fight viral infections in the body
Benzodiazepine substance used to treat anxiety disorders
Bronchodilator substance that relaxes the bronchial smooth muscles in the respiratory system
Diuretic Substance that increases the water output in the kidneys; reduces water retention in the body
Expectorant substances that remove mucous from the upper respiratory system
Histamine (H2) Blockers reduce acid secretion by blocking histamine from reaching the H2 receptor
Hypnotic substance that relaxes the central nervous system to produce sleep
Muscle Relaxant treat involuntary< painful contraction of muscles by slowing the passage of nerve signals that cause pain to the muscle
Narcotic potential to be highly abused as a pain reliever
Non-Steroidal Anti-inflammatory agents substances that inhibit the production of the enzymes necessary for the synthesis of prostaglandins, reducing pain and inflammation
Proton Pimp Inhibitors (PPI's) substance that reduce gastric acid build-up by blocking the release of protons by proton pumps
Sedative relieves anxiety and tension, calms and relaxes
Stimulant class of medications that are intended to increase alertness and physical activity
Vasodilator substance that causes the blood vessels to widen
