Revision on waste and the environment.

Where do non-recyclable materials go? To landfill sights.
Name 3 materials that are recyclable. Paper, glass, metal.
What are the 3 states of matter? Solid, liquid and gas.
What matter flows? Gas and liquids.
Which will take up the space of a container? Gas.
What is volume of an object? It is the space it takes up measured in centimeters cubed.
Which matter can be squashed and compressed? Gas.
Describe the particles of a solid. The particles are very close together and are fixed but it is still vibrating.
What is the name of the process of spreading of particles? Diffusion.
What is a vacuum? It is a space where there are no air particles which will cause a 'sucking' force.
What is air pressure? It is the pushing force created by air when it wants to escape from a container.
What makes landfills smell? The natural gas they give off.
How do the particles in gas move? They bounce around randomly.
How do the particles in liquid move? They are close together and can go past each other.
Can water be squashed? No, only gas can.
