What did Cesar do when he was 17? He joined the Navy so he could get away from the unfair treatment of migrant farm workers.
What did Cesar's father teach him? It is important to work hard and be diligent
How did Cesar's mother teach him to solve problems? Using words and talking
Who did Cesar study to learn about nonviolent protests that brought change to their countries? Martin Luther King, JR in the United States and Mohandas Ghandi in India.
Why did Cesar want to start a labor union? To win recognition of their rights and to have better pay and working conditions.
What group did Chavez become the leader of? The Community Service Organization
