Terminology Pediatrics

Acyanotic Pertaining to an absence of cyanosis
Cyanotic Characterized by cyanosis, or a blue tint in the skin, which indicates reduced blood oxygen
Fontanelle Soft Spot = Located on the cranium of a newborn or infant, area of the skull that is not covered by bone at birth but where the cranial bones eventually come together, allowing for the growth of the brain and skull
